Aquaculture Society of Bangladesh

Aquaculture deals with the design and constriction of systems, stocking of seed, feeding and health management of stock to get a yield under a legal ownership. Globally Bangladesh is the 5th largest aquaculture producing country. Aquaculture supplied about 60% of total national fish production of Bangladesh, contributing to protein supply, income and employment generation. However, aquaculture is facing various challenges in terms of system operation, stocking seed, feeding, diseases, safe fish production and local and export trade. The aim of ASB is to deal with the challenges of various stakeholders across the aquaculture value chain.
